Have you ever thought about having your next gathering on a boat? Let us welcome you aboard the Steven Thomas. You can charter the boat for your organization's or group's next event. You'll cruise the Tangier Sound and see the islands that form the sound - Tangier, Watts, Fox, Smith, and others. We also offer a Special School Group Charter.

The boat is a 90 foot long and licensed for 300 passengers. It has an air-conditioned lounge, upper sun deck, snack bar , and restrooms. The boat is Coast Guard approved and designed for your comfort and safety, equipped with radar and radio.

Charters

You can charter the boat for three hours, and you can select either of two time periods:

6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

We can help you with any catering and/or entertainment requirements you might need using the local businesses in the area. And the boat is stocked with all the ice you will need.

The Prices

The price for the charter depends on the number of people. The minimum charge is:

50 people or less .... $800

$15 per person over 50 people

Maximum passenger capacity is 150.

A deposit of $400.00 is required at the time of the charter. You must cancel a reservation two weeks (14 days) before the date of the charter or the deposit is not refundable.

School Group Special

You can bring a group of school students aboard the boat to cruise the Chesapeake Bay and visit this historic and quaint island. And when you arrive, there is a covered picnic facility available if you bring your lunch, or you can walk to the beach and eat your picnic lunch. You can also take the students for a visit to the Tangier Island School, where all the island youth attend grades K through 12.

The prices for a group of school students is:

$12 (12 & under) per student

$15 (13 & above) per student

$20 per adult

(1 free chaperone)
